Diesel Exhaust Fluid - also know as DEF, is part of the emissions control system on new diesel powered vehicles. DEF is a urea fluid used in the Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) process. This process reduces the Nitrous Oxides (NOx) from diesel exhaust being released into the air.
DEF requires different hose material and sealant material than other automotive and petroleum fluids. Gasoila DEF Thread sealant for Diesel Exhaust Fluid is designed to meet this need. Just like other Gasoila thread sealants, a brush is attached to the lid for your convenience.
