O-Ring Adapters
O-Ring Boss and O-Ring Face seal connections are often used in heavy equipment hydraulic systems. ORB and ORFS adapters are used to connect hydraulic hose assemblies to components such as pumps, cylinders and valves. Adapters can also bridge different connection types or allow for proper alignment.O-Ring Boss (abbreviated ORB) is frequently used in hydraulics. The male-threaded part connects with a female-threaded part, although an o-ring creates the fluid-tight seal.
O-Ring Face Seal (abbreviated ORFS) sometimes called Flat Face O-Ring or For-Seal - is another popular connection used in hydraulic systems.
O-Ring fittings and adapters are designed and built to resist high pressure leakage and are made for higher pressures than is typically experienced in general plumbing systems.
