Renegade contains a wire helix for full suction capability, as well as for routing hoses through tight bends. The Ultrahigh Molecular Weight Polyethylene tube stock has excellent chemical resistance and is backed by Gates Gatron™ for flex fatigue safety at the coupling. Renegade is designed for easy cleaning in a bath containing 10 percent (NaOH) at 212°F (100°C). Cleaning in place (CIP) methods may be used. Applications include over 450 basic chemicals which are building blocks for numerous chemicals used in a variety of industries. Hose Specifications: Tube: Type L (UHMWPE). Clear, backed with Gatron™ Modified Cross-linked Polyethylene (XLPE) for flex fatigue safety at the coupling. Reinforcement: Synthetic, high tensile textile with steel wire helix for full suction capability and flexibility. Cover: Type P (EPDM). Green corrugated with yellow spiral stripe. Temperature Range: -40°F to +212°F (-40°C to 100°C) normal service. Dependant on chemical conveyed. Type of Branding: Continuous transfer label. Gates value point: Gatron™ Gates uses a proprietary material called Gatron in many of its Acid-Chemical hose. A blend of rigid cross-linked Polyethylene (XLPE) and a number of other polymers and additives, Gatron offers excellent resistance to a variety of acids and chemicals, while providing much better flexibility, higher temperature compatibility, improved coupling seal, and better resistance to coupling "spinning" in high temperature applications or cleaning operations when compared to competitive XLPE products. Gatron is the tube material used in Mustang, Mustang CR, and Appaloosa. It is also used as a "back-up" tube for the FEP and UHMWPE liners in the Stallion, Stallion CR, and Renegade. This extra Gatron layer provides a safety factor in the event of a liner tear in the hose, and also adds to hose performance capabilities. Gatron is a major reason why Gates Acid-Chemical hoses are recognized as the premier line in the industry.

Appaloosa™ when abrasion resistance is critical

Manufacturer: Gates Specification No. 4695RG Recommended for: Use for tank truck, barge, ship, or storage tank transfer of a variety of chemical products where external abrasion resistance is critical. Appaloosa hose contains a wire helix for full suction capability, as well as for routing hoses through tight bends. Its Modified Cross-linked Polyethylene tube stock is "best in class" for maintaining a tight seal with stainless steel fittings and is designed for cleaning with “open end” 50 PSI steam or in a bath containing 10 percent (NaOH) at 212°F (100°C). Cleaning in place (CIP) methods may be used. Capable of handling more than 950 basic chemicals. Hose Specifications: Tube: Gatron™ Modified Cross-linked Polyethylene Reinforcement: Synthetic, high tensile textile with steel wire helix Cover: UHMWPE over a base of EPDM.
